📝 Ingredients

For the Pound Cake:

  • 1½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2¾ cups granulated sugar

  • 6 large eggs

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup sour cream (optional for extra moisture)


For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1½ tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • ¼ cup chopped pecans

  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg


For the Caramel Glaze:

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup butter

  • ¼ cup heavy cream

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional: more pecans for topping


👩‍🍳 Instructions

🔹 1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat to 325°F (163°C).

  • Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or use baking spray with flour.


🔹 2. Make the Cinnamon Swirl

  • In a small bowl, mix:

    • Brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and pecans. Set aside.


🔹 3. Make the Pound Cake Batter

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy (4–5 minutes).

  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

  3. Mix in vanilla and sour cream if using.

  4. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until combined. Don’t overmix.


🔹 4. Layer the Batter and Cinnamon Swirl

  1. Spoon half of the cake batter into the bundt pan.

  2. Sprinkle the cinnamon swirl evenly over the batter.

  3. Top with the remaining cake batter and smooth out the top.


🔹 5. Bake

  • Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.


🔹 6. Make the Caramel Glaze

  1. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and cream.

  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.


🔹 7. Glaze and Garnish

  • Drizzle warm caramel over the cooled cake.

  • Sprinkle with extra pecans if desired.

  • Add a cream cheese ribbon by layering some sweetened cream cheese with the cinnamon filling.

  • Want it more “cinnamon roll” style? Swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter with a knife.
