  • 4โ€“6 hamburger buns (toasted, optional)

  • 6 slices provolone or Swiss cheese

๐Ÿ”น 1. Caramelize the Onions

In a large skillet:

  1. Melt butter and olive oil over medium-low heat.

  2. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt.

  3. Cook slowly for 15โ€“20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and soft. Set aside.

  • In the same pan, add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

  • Drain excess grease if needed.
