Here’s a flavorful and versatile Garlic Pizza Sauce—perfect as a base for white pizzas, garlic bread, or as a dipping sauce. It’s creamy, garlicky, and super easy to make.
🧄🍕 Creamy Garlic Pizza Sauce (White Sauce)
Ingredients:
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
4–5 garlic cloves, minced (or more if you love garlic!)
-
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
1 cup whole milk (or half-and-half for richer sauce)
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes or Italian herbs
Instructions:
-
Make a Roux:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t let it brown). -
Add Flour:
Stir in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste. This makes the sauce thick and creamy. -
Add Milk:
Slowly whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook for about 3–5 minutes, until it thickens to your desired consistency. -
Finish with Cheese & Seasoning:
Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and any optional herbs or red pepper flakes. Remove from heat once cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
Tips:
-
Use immediately or cool and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
-
You can also blend it for an ultra-smooth finish.
