🍽️ Serves: 6

📝 Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed French onion soup

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom)

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 ½ cups shredded Swiss cheese (or mozzarella or provolone)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • Optional topping: crispy fried onions or extra cheese

👩‍🍳 Instructions

🔹 1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

🔹 2. Mix the Base

In a large bowl, combine:

  • French onion soup

  • Cream of chicken soup

  • Chicken broth

  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Garlic powder, salt, and pepper

Stir in the uncooked rice and shredded chicken.

🔹 3. Assemble the Casserole

  • Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish.

  • Cover tightly with foil.

  • Bake for 40 minutes.

🔹 4. Add Cheese & Finish Baking

  • Remove foil and sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.

  • Drizzle melted butter for extra richness.

  • Bake uncovered for another 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the rice is tender.

🔹 5. Optional Topping

  • For crunch and flavor, top with crispy fried onions during the last 5 minutes of baking.

🔹 6. Rest & Serve

  • Let sit for 5–10 minutes before serving so it thickens slightly.

🧅 Tips & Variations

  • Add caramelized onions for deeper flavor.

  • Want veggies? Stir in a cup of sautéed mushrooms, peas, or spinach.

  • Prefer a shortcut? Use rotisserie chicken to cut prep time.
