⏱️ Cook Time: 30 minutes

🍽️ Makes: 6–8 cones (depending on cone size)

📝 Ingredients

For the Tater Tot Cones:

  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots, thawed

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

For the Bacon Cheeseburger Filling:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ½ cup diced onion

  • 1 cup cooked crumbled bacon

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese

  • ¼ cup ketchup

  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Optional toppings:

  • Pickles

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Diced tomatoes

  • Burger sauce or ranch

  • Jalapeños

👩‍🍳 Instructions

🔁 Step 1: Make the Tater Tot Cone Shells

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a large bowl, mash thawed tater tots until mostly smooth.

  3. Add cheddar, eggs, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined.

  4. Spray aluminum cone molds or shape cones out of foil and wrap tightly.

  5. Press the tater tot mixture firmly around each mold, forming an even cone.

  6. Bake on a sheet pan for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.

Tip: Rotate halfway for even browning.

🔥 Step 2: Make the Cheeseburger Filling

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

  2. Stir in bacon, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.

  3. Turn off heat, then stir in cheese until melted and gooey.

🌮 Step 3: Assemble the Cones

  1. Gently remove the tater tot cones from the molds.

  2. Spoon the cheeseburger mixture into each cone.

  3. Top with extras: pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, extra cheese, or sauce.

🎉 Tips & Variations:

  • No cone molds? Form bowls in a muffin tin or ramekins.

  • Spicy twist: Add jalapeños or pepper jack cheese.

  • Dipping sauce: Serve with burger sauce, ranch, or spicy ketchup.
