Air fryer poached eggs

Posted on September 18, 2025

Making poached eggs in an air fryer is totally possible — and surprisingly easy — with the right method!

Here’s a foolproof way to make soft, runny poached eggs in your air fryer using ramekins.

🍳 Air Fryer Poached Eggs (Single-Serve Method)

🧂 What You’ll Need:

  • 1 egg (per ramekin)

  • 1–2 tbsp water (per ramekin)

  • Small oven-safe ramekins or silicone cups

  • Cooking spray or oil (optional, to prevent sticking)

🔥 Instructions:

1. Preheat Air Fryer:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3–5 minutes.

2. Prep Ramekin:

  • Lightly grease the inside of the ramekin (optional).

  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to each ramekin.

  • Crack one egg into each ramekin (carefully so the yolk stays intact).

3. Air Fry:

  • Carefully place ramekins into the air fryer basket.

  • Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 5 to 6 minutes for runny yolks.

    • Add 1–2 more minutes for firmer yolks.

4. Remove & Serve:

  • Use tongs or an oven mitt to remove ramekins (they’ll be hot).

  • Gently lift the egg out with a spoon or slotted spoon.

  • Dab with a paper towel to remove excess water, if desired.

🍽️ Tips:

  • Silicone muffin cups also work well and are easy to clean.

  • Use room temperature eggs for more even cooking.

  • Add a splash of vinegar to the water for a more traditional poach feel (optional).

🥑 Serving Ideas:

  • On avocado toast

  • In eggs Benedict

  • With sautéed greens

  • Over a grain bowl
