🧀 Crispy Parmesan Asparagus Sticks

Crunchy, cheesy, and totally crave-worthy.

✅ Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (Panko works best for extra crunch)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1–2 eggs, beaten

  • Optional: cooking spray or olive oil spray

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly spray with oil.

2. Set Up Breading Station

  • In one shallow bowl: beat the egg(s).

  • In a second bowl: mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3. Coat the Asparagus

  • Dip each asparagus spear in egg, letting excess drip off.

  • Roll in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to coat.

4. Bake

  • Place coated asparagus on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

  • Lightly mist with oil spray for extra crispiness.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

🌬️ Air Fryer Method (Optional)

  • Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C)

  • Cook in batches for 7–10 minutes, shaking halfway through.

🧊 Tips & Serving Ideas

  • Serve with dips: marinara, ranch, garlic aioli, or lemony yogurt dip

  • Use Panko + finely grated Parmesan for max crisp

  • Works best with medium-thick asparagus (not too thin or thick)

  • Add a dash of lemon zest or chili flakes to the coating for extra flavor

🔄 Variations

  • Make it spicy with Cajun seasoning or crushed red pepper

  • Swap Parmesan for Asiago or grated Romano

  • Use almond flour + Parmesan for a low-carb version
