Posted on September 8, 2025

If you’re looking for a super quick and easy bread recipe — ready in about 10 minutes (prep + cook) — here’s a fast skillet flatbread that requires no yeast, no rise time, and just a few pantry staples. Great for when you need bread now!

🔥 10-Minute Skillet Flatbread (No Yeast)

🕒 Total Time: 10 minutes

🍽️ Makes: 4 small flatbreads

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ cup plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt, or use water or milk in a pinch)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (optional, for softer bread)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

🔹 1. Mix the Dough

In a bowl, stir together:

  • Flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • Add the yogurt and mix until a shaggy dough forms.

  • Knead for 1–2 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.

🔄 If dough is too dry, add a teaspoon of water. If too sticky, dust with more flour.

🔹 2. Divide & Roll

  • Divide dough into 4 equal balls.

  • Roll each into a circle or oval, about ⅛ inch thick.

🔹 3. Cook the Bread

  • Heat a dry skillet or nonstick pan over medium-high heat.

  • Cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until puffed and golden with light char spots.

🔹 4. Serve

  • Brush with butter or olive oil, if desired.

  • Serve warm as-is, or with dips, soups, or spreads!

🧄 Optional Add-Ins

  • Garlic powder, herbs, shredded cheese, or even cinnamon & sugar for sweet versions.

  • Add a bit of olive oil to the dough for richness.

Would you like a gluten-free version, or want to turn this into a stuffed bread or wrap?
