🥐 Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls

🕒 Prep Time: 15 minutes

⏱️ Bake Time: 20–25 minutes

🍽️ Makes: 8 rolls

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 1½ cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped

  • ½ cup cream cheese (softened)

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)

  • 2 tbsp sour cream or mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

  • Optional: Melted butter + garlic powder for brushing the tops

👩‍🍳 Instructions

🔹 1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

🔹 2. Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine:

  • Shredded chicken

  • Cream cheese

  • Shredded cheddar

  • Sour cream or mayo

  • Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper

  • Mix until creamy and well combined

🔹 3. Assemble the Rolls

  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles

  • Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of chicken mixture near the wide end of each triangle

  • Roll up from the wide end to the point and tuck in sides slightly if needed to seal

🔹 4. Optional: Brush the Tops

  • Mix 1 tbsp melted butter with a pinch of garlic powder and brush over the rolls for extra flavor and a golden finish

🔹 5. Bake

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and cooked through

🔹 6. Serve

  • Sprinkle with parsley or green onions, and serve warm!

🧀 Variations

  • Add veggies: Stir in cooked spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the filling

  • Spicy version: Add a dash of hot sauce or use pepper jack cheese

  • BBQ twist: Use BBQ sauce instead of sour cream and cheddar for a smoky version

  • Buffalo style: Mix in buffalo sauce and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing
